If you've always wanted to learn how to play an instrument but didn't know where to start, you're in the right place.

It's never too late to fall in love with music.

What makes this different?

Your goals, not mine. Want to learn by ear? We'll do that. Prefer to read music? We'll build that skill. Just want to play three songs beautifully by the holidays? Let's make it happen!

Designed for adult learners. I know you're not a child. You're busy, you may feel like you "should've started years ago," and you probably learn differently than a 10-year-old. Good, because I teach in a way that adults can actually learn.

Backed by science. Learning an instrument as an adult is one of the most powerful things you can do for your brain, memory, focus, stress and long-term cognitive health all benefit.

About Me

Hi there, I'm Candace. I'm glad you're here and I hope to meet you soon. I've been playing music since I was five years old. I play over 10 instruments, but have a real passion and love for piano and guitar. I've been playing both instruments for nearly 30 years. I am professionally and classically trained, having majored in music performance with a concentration in piano and voice.

I play both by reading music and by ear and I can teach you either way, or both. I specialize in adult learning because I want to put music in the hands of adults who think they've missed their chance. I meet countless people who tell me that they wish that they had learned to play an instrument as a child. Some even recall how they took lessons but decided to pursue other interests.

I've found music to be something that I have carried with me through every walk of life and I am encouraged to know that it's something that I can carry into my golden years as well. I want to give that gift to you too. Don't worry about if you can learn an instrument, you can. It's not too late. Allow me to show you.
