Frequently Asked Questions

Thank you for your interest in Sanadora Sounds. I am happy to answer any additional questions you may have. Simply fill out the contact form below and I will be sure to reach out as soon as possible.

Q: Why are you called Sanadora Sounds?

A: The Spanish word, Sanadora means healer. Scientific research confirms what many of us have known our entire lives, sound waves, especially in the form of beautiful music, heals us. Learning to play your own music is not only healing for your body and spirit, but is vital for brain health as well.

Q: Do you offer lessons for children?

A: I specialize in adult learning because so many people do not. Most music lessons are designed for children. I will consider working with children on a case-by-case basis. Get in touch and let's talk about your needs to see if I'm a good fit for your child(ren).

Q: Do you offer group sessions?

A: From time to time I offer workshops and group session. We can also discuss inviting me to your group event. I can talk about sound healing, brain health, and various instrument types and disciplines. Participants will enjoy a fun, interactive learning experience.

Q: I don't own an instrument, and I don't know where to start. Can you help?

A: Absolutely. I can help you find an instrument that fits your lifestyle and budget. You might also consider purchasing my musical coach add-on package. I will go with you to purchase your instrument and for used instruments, I will inspect them before purchase. Investing in an instrument is a big deal, allow me to walk with you through the process.

Q: I have an older instrument that may need service. Can you help?

A: In addition to playing instruments I also do minor repair and restringing. I can inspect your instrument to determine if I can repair it, or help you find a professional who can. Reach out and let's talk.

Q: Do you teach any other instruments?

A: Yes, I play several brass and woodwind instruments, as well as a few folk instruments. I would be happy to discuss your needs. Reach out and tell me what instrument you are interested in learning, and I'll tell you if I can instruct.

Q: I don't think I'm ready to actually play an instrument, but I'd love to learn about music. Can you help?

A: Absolutely. Not everyone is interested in playing an instrument right away, but would like to learn music theory, or about various types of music and instruments. I'd be happy to discuss your needs to see if I'm a good fit for you.

Q: What genre of music will I learn to play?

A: That's entirely up to you. If you're a beginner we will start with the foundational lessons that all genres are built upon and then branch out into a particular type of music. So whether you're trying to be the next Prince, India Arie, or B.B. King, I got you covered.
